Fruity with red- and dark-fruit aromas. Supple and easy-going on the palate. Light structure but fine tannins. Pleasant early drinking.

The 2021 Beaumont is a deep, punchy Haut-Médoc. A blast of dried herbs, charred earth, spice, leather and tobacco hits the palate as this pleasantly rustic wine shows off its considerable personality. The 2021 could be quite good if it comes together with élevage.

A rock solid Haut-Médoc, the 2021 Château Beaumont gives up plenty of ripe red and black fruits, a kiss of meatiness in its dried herb and spicy aromatics, medium-bodied richness, and a balanced, well-made style on the palate.

The 2021 Beaumont is much leaner on the nose compared directly with the 2020, though it is well defined, slightly herbaceous and fresh in style. The midweight palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins on the entry and a grainy texture. It attenuates slightly toward the cedary finish. Give this 2–3 years in bottle to see if it fills out.
