Join us for our Bordeaux 2020 In Bottle Tasting, as the concluding vintage of what Michel Rolland - the Super Consultant - called the 'Trilogy of Excellence', 2020 is a worthy successor to the lush 2018 and the impeccably structured 2019.
This is a vintage praised by Vinous's Neal Martin in his recent In Bottle Report:
"A lauded vintage... Whether you are seeking a decent bottle of claret to quaff after a hard day at work or a First Growth to lay down for your kids, the 2020 vintage has something to offer. The pandemic might have threatened humanity, but as it turned out, it posed no threat to the quality of Bordeaux that year."
This sentiment is continued by Antonio Galloni, who states:
"Two thousand-twenty is an incredibly exciting vintage for Bordeaux. After having tasted more than 800 wines... my conclusion is that 2020 is by far the most consistent of the three vintages in Bordeaux’s so-called trilogy spanning 2018 through 2020. It is a year brimming with phenomenal wines at all levels, from the big names down to bottles the average consumer can still afford to purchase by the case."
