Inc. VAT: £355.07
|
2021 |
D'Armailhac 2021 (6x75cl) Decanter (93)Succulent and softly supple, this has lots of energy and pace with bright red fruits, raspberries and cherries, alongside sweet spices and perfumed nuances. The acidity is so well judged it lifts the palate and delivers the individual elements with precision and poise, so you get a playful, friendly and upfront wine offering so much pleasure. I love the clarity here too, the sheer chalky and saline texture on the tongue; it feels clean and clear with a pristine quality. This will be a fabulous wine! 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.72pH. The first vintage to be vinified in the new winery which was completed just in time for the harvest.

D'Arsac 2021 (6x75cl) Vinous - Neal Martin (82-84)The 2021 Château d'Arsac has a well-defined bouquet of brambly red fruit with touches of graphite and rose petal. The palate is balanced but green around the edges and rather hollow on the finish.

D'Issan 2021 (12x37.5cl) James Suckling (95-96)A very fine yet structured d’Issan with blackcurrant and plum, as well as spice and walnuts. The palate is full and structured with wonderful tannins and length. It really grows on the palate. Serious balance of ripe and fine tannins with pretty fruit and a citrusy undertone. This could move up a notch. 65% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 2% cabernet franc, 2% malbec and 1% petit verdot.

2021 |
Dassault 2021 (6x75cl) Vinous - Antonio Galloni (91-93)The 2021 Dassault is very, very good. Dark and ample, the 2021 possesses terrific depth and fine balance at this stage. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, mint, spice, tobacco and mocha are nicely pushed forward. This succulent yet mid-weight Saint-Émilion has a ton to offer.

Dauzac 2021 (6x75cl)

2021 |
Dauzac 2021 (6x75cl) The Drinks Business (91-93)Dauzac (Margaux; 70% Cabernet Sauvignon; 30% Merlot; 13% alcohol; a final yield of 44 hl/ha; aged predominantly in oak barrels, 65% of which are new, with a small proportion in amphora; tasted at the property and the UGCB press tasting). Complex and enticing on the nose, with plenty of Margaux florality – wisteria, violets and lavender – combined with a distinct saline-ferrous minerality and a rich, deep, dark berry and stone fruit. The palate is limpid and lithe with delicate layering that is not obscured thanks to the judicious restraint in the extraction. There is an impressive natural ripe sweetness to the fruit and a gentle smokiness too. Nicely composed and very promising.

|
2021 |
De Fieuzal 2021 (6x75cl) Wine Advocate (92-94)The 2021 de Fieuzal Blanc shows considerable potential, unwinding in the glass with aromas of crisp nectarine, mint, pasty cream, citrus oil and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and tensile, with tangy acids, chalky dry extract and a long, saline finish, it will be bottled under Diam 30. This Sauvignon Blanc-Sémillon blend is rapidly establishing itself as one of Bordeaux's most interesting dry white wines. Tasted three times.

De Fieuzal Blanc 2021 (6x75cl) Jeb Dunnuck (92-94)The 2021 Château De Fieuzal Blanc (65% Sauvignon and 35% Semillon) is terrific and shows the quality of the vintage. Giving up ripe tropical and melon fruits as well as notes of honeyed flowers and chalky, mineral-like nuances, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a bright, vibrant, chiseled texture, and a great finish. It's beautifully done and well worth seeking out.

De Pez 2021 (12x37.5cl)
|
2021 |
De Pez 2021 (12x37.5cl) Jancis Robinson (17)Rather sumptuous nose. Fleshy, almost sweet – certainly many steps taken to ensure this is not too austere. Good drive and excellent delivery of ripe fruit. Underneath there is the stoniness of the appellation and I assume that Montrose, for example, is more concentrated and will live longer but this is a pretty successful wine. Fresh, long finish. Good stuff! Very nicely balanced.

2021 |
Doisy Vedrines 2021 (6x75cl) Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux (96)Les Champs Libres hits it out of the park in 2021. Gunsmoke opener, followed by structured white peach, pear, sage, crushed rocks, green apple, pummice stone slate and liquourice bud, with a squeeze of sweeter citrus pureee as it opens up in the mid palate. A truly great white that doesn't try too hard to impress, and is content to take its time. Savoury, mouthwatering, delicious. Harvest September 9 to 11. 100% aged in barrels.
