Immerse yourself in the lavish flavours with a bottle of Charles Lachaux Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Argillas 2021. This exceptional Pinot Noir is a masterpiece from the hands of renowned vintner Charles Lachaux, born in the prestigious vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy. Lachaux's meticulous and innovative techniques, such as no crushing, short-cold maceration, and gentle pump-overs, extol the fineness and aromatic complexity of the grape. Lachaux cultivates Aux Argillas with organic and biodynamic principles, steering away from typical vine-age approach. The 2021 vintage, aged for 16 months in oak barrels, delivers a refined complexity and delicate balance of rich fruit, structured tannins, and elegant finish. Its taste profile is accentuated by vivid layers of red cherry, blueberries, and violets, paired with strokes of spice and mineral undertones. Experience the vibrant delight that is Charles Lachaux Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Argillas 2021, a testament to Lachaux's masterful command of viticulture and winemaking. |

Vinous (92)Jadot’s 2012 Beaune 1er Cru Celebration is aromatically quite expressive, with lovely bright, floral notes that play off a core of red berry and stone fruits. The gracious, almost feminine, bouquet is alluring and suggests a wine that is quite open, but the palate sensation is completely different. Tiny yields and high skin to juice ratios yielded red Burgundies with huge tannic clout that obscures the fruit, which is exactly how the wine comes across in tasting. It will be interesting to see if the 2012 softens over time, or if it gains volume with aging. Today, it is decidedly on the austere side of things. |
