Bodegas Caro is the remarkable collaboration between two of the world's most important winemaking families: Lafite Rothschild and Catena Zapata. It has achieved success equal to any international collaboration in South America or beyond. Caro (from “CAtena” and ROthschild) is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend with 25-40% Malbec. The wine comes from prime parcels in Argentina’s premier wine region of Mendoza. What many people don’t realise is that this is a very small production wine. Only 3,000 to 6,000 cases are made. The success Caro is not just down to the parent wineries' prestige. Caro winemaker Fernando Buscema was recently named as “Best Young Winemaker” (2018).

Caro

This unbeatable collaboration marries the old world expertise of Lafite's Domaine Barons de Rothschild with the new world innovation of highly-acclaimed Argentinian producer Catena Zapata. The resulting wine is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec that is the best of both worlds, and as always, available at an unbeatable price. Always in high-demand, this is a wine that sells out fast so don't delay in snapping up as much as possible.
