  • Andrew Will Champoux Horse Heaven Hills 2016 (6x75cl)

    Jeb Dunnuck (97)

One of the finest examples of this cuvée I’ve tasted is the 2016 Champoux Vineyard, which comes from one of the top terroirs in the state and is in the slightly cooler Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The blend in 2016 is 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc, all aged 18 months in just 25% new French oak. Young, full-bodied, and primordial, it has incredible potential but is going to need 4-5 years of bottle age. Thrilling notes of blueberries, cassis, lead pencil shavings, and bouquet garni all define the bouquet and it has remarkable purity and elegance. It picks up more floral and high-toned notes with time in the glass and is a brilliant bottle of wine that will keep for 2-3 decades.

  • Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape Hommage a Jacques Perrin 2019 (3x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (100)

Marvelously complex, deeply fruited and massively concentrated yet wonderfully drinkable, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin challenges the number of superlatives that can be thrown at it. Scents of violets, tree bark, truffle, purple raspberries and blackberries all appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is rich, dense and velvety, and the finish shows enormous richness and length. Breathtaking stuff.

  • Bertagna Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Beaumonts 2016 (6x75cl)

Dive into the world of fine Burgundy wine with the exquisite Bertagna Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Beaumonts 2016. Crafted in the prestigious vineyards of Vosne Romanée, Côte de Nuits, this elegant Pinot Noir is a worthy representation of Domaine Bertagna’s absolute commitment to organic viticulture and asymptotic pursuit of perfection for almost six decades. A jewel of Bertagna’s 18 appellations, this Premier Cru Les Beaumonts 2016 embodies the harmonious balance between power and finesse. The long, slow vinification process in oak barrels bestows its complex bouquet accentuated by scents of wild cherries, violets and spiced chocolate. The velvety tannins and ripe fruit nuances linger on the palate, creating a wine that is not only deeply satisfying, but also emblematic of its illustrious terroir. Its consistent depth and refinement undoubtedly affirm Bertagna Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Beaumonts 2016 as a grand cru in all but name.

    Wine Advocate (92)

This is a Tuscan white wine with a huge following, and deservedly so. The Fattoria le Pupille 2019 Poggio Argentato is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Traminer and Semillon. The wine broaches a mid-weight texture, showing some creamy density and waxiness, but it ultimately pulls back to a lean-bodied approach that is pushed forward by the wine's bright and snappy acidity. It delivers aromas of orchard fruit, tangerine skin, sweet almond and poached pear. It has the 360-degree latitude to pair with vegetarian dishes, fish or white meat.

  • Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 (3x75cl)

    James Suckling (100)

The subtle and nuanced aromas to this are so enticing with perfumed, floral, blackcurrant and blackberry character. Roses, too. Some lavender. Full-bodied yet so refined and polished with the most transparent and polished texture. Firm and seamless. So beautiful now. Give it three or four years to come around, but this already sings.

  • Screaming Eagle The Flight 2019 (3x75cl)

    James Suckling (99)

Extremely floral and aromatic with violets and lavender throughout. Black olives, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, very fine-grained tannins that run the length of the wine. Goes on for minutes. A greenish undertone comes out at the end with some spearmint, green tea and green olive. About two-thirds merlot. Best after 2028, but already stunning.

  • Socre Langhe Freisa 2016 (6x75cl)
  • Uccelliera Brunello di Montalcino 2019 (6x75cl)

    Jeb Dunnuck (96)

A ripe red color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino is expressive of its place, with warming notes of licorice, black cherries, anise, cedar, and dark soil lifting from the glass. As it opens, it becomes purer in its fruit profile, shining through beautifully. Full-bodied, with ripe tannins and a savory slanting profile, notes of espresso and mocha float across the palate, filling it with purity of fruit and lovely concentration through its long finish. It’s a fantastic Brunello with a warming richness that can stand up to hearty winter foods and will be best enjoyed over the next 15 years. Drink 2026-2040.
