D'Esclans Whispering Angel Rose 2020 (6x75cl)
Uncompromising quality at an excellent price has catapulted this pale pink rosé into the global wine stratosphere. Their 2020 vintage is another 'sensational' (MJ) release from this Provence icon, keeping D'Esclans firmly 'at the top of the pink wine pyramid' (Drinks Business).
Scoring 92 points from James Suckling, the 2020 release his joint-highest score ever for Whispering Angel. With delicate aromas of sliced apple, pink grapefruit, peach, cream and stones, the palate has a 'silky texture' and the crisp acidity leads to a bracingly dry finish that marks this as a 'stunningly balanced vintage' (MJ).
Very pale apricot-pink color. Delicate aromas of sliced apple, pink grapefruit, peach, cream and stones follow through to a medium body and crisp acidity. Deliciously creamy and smooth. Drink and enjoy.

I have just tasted the very first bottle of 2020 Whispering Angel Rosé and it is sensational. The haunting, canteloupe-tinged aroma, silky texture and bracingly dry finish mark this as a stunningly balanced vintage. Chapeau!

The world’s most famous rosé is produced by Château d'Esclans, an estate situated on elevated land in the heart of Provence. This is the passion project of Sacha Alexis Lichine, who bought the estate in 2006. Now the most famous wine in Provence, and the most sought-after rosé in the whole of France, Sacha’s rosés are most recognisable for its crystalline salmon pink colour. These wines are bone-dry, classic premium rosés. They are magnificently refreshing and flavourful.
