De Trafford Chenin Blanc 2012 (6x75cl)
The 2012 Chenin Blanc, which comes from five parcels and sees a three-hour skin contact and 100% barrel-fermented (natural yeasts) has a sensual and rounded bouquet with touches of brioche, butterscotch, popcorn and almond. The palate is sweet on the honeyed entry with lemon curd, guava and coconut notes, touches of brioche and patisserie coming toward the well-defined finish. Irresistible.

The De Trafford wine estate is the source for some of South Africa's most well-made wines. Quality here is driven by the experimental attitude of trained architect-turned-winemaker David Trafford. The wine-making style is based entirely upon the potential of the vine and the fruit itself. Minimal intervention in the cellar and the gentlest of touches allow the wine to develop at its own pace and develop a true sense of place and terroir-driven expression.
