Producer

Winemaker Larry McKenna is a man of vision and hard graft, characteristics that are expressed in his very impressive wines. McKenna built up the reputation of Martinborough Pinot Noir and lead the way in developing the “Upper Terraces” off Te Muna Road. Here he developed the ground-breaking style shown in his terroir focussed wines from the unique Te Muna vineyards. Escarpment also makes some extremely good single vineyard expressions praised by international critics, each wine is named after the vineyard it is from: Kiwa, Pahi and Te Rehua.
