Haut Bailly has some of the oldest vines in Bordeaux, a genuinely elegant and complex wine. From a producer really on form, this great vintage has real promise with silky tannin and subtle oak. It will need several years to mature but will keep well in excess of 40 years.

Producer

Haut Bailly

Chateau Haut-Bailly has had cultivated vines since 1461. Bought by the Wilmers in 1998; they kept the previous owners, the Sanders family, as estate managers with the brilliant Veronique Sanders as Managing Director. Together they make some of the softest most charming wines in the appellation. The 2009 and 2010 are some of their best in living memory.
