This Cru Bourgeois from the Haut-Medoc is always reliable in delivering a crowd-pleasing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with just a touch of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot for elegance and aromatics. The soft red fruits intermingle with earthy and herbaceous spice with a gentle finish. As is typical with 2014, it is approachable now but will be enjoyable just shy of the next decade.

Producer

In the appellation of Haut-Medoc the current owner Patrick Bernard purchased this 50 hectare estate in 1998. The Chateau is a cru bourgeois and is managed by Xavier Michelet. They produce three wines all of which can be characterised by a silky elegance and fresh fruit characteristics.
