More greenery than Chasse-Spleen, but the contest for top dog in Moulis is far from over. Poujeaux still has some tricks up it’s sleeve in 2016 and after tasting it three times, we’ve found a lot of nice black fruit and spice with fine structure.

Producing typically deep-coloured wines, the excellent value Chateau Poujeaux traces back to the 16th century. Former French President Georges Pompidou was an avid fan of the wines which uses traditional cultivation techniques and aged for 12 months in French barrels.
