Blank Canvas

A five star winery according to Kiwi wine expert Bob Campbell, and one of the country's most interesting producers at the moment, Blank Canvas is responsible for a solid array of wines across a broad range of styles. With a focus on producing pure, balanced and refined wines, they are simultaneously innovative and traditionalist. They were the first (and still only) producer to co-ferment Syrah and Grüner Veltliner, in a similar fashion to how Côte-Rôtie combines Syrah with a bit of Viognier. Their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir could easily hoodwink an experienced blind taster into thinking they had quality Côte d'Or wines in front of them.
