Wine Spectator (95)A dream Chianti Classico. Harmony in a glass. Glorious aromas of crushed berries, raspberry and mineral. Full-bodied, with superpolished tannins and a long, long finish of ripe fruit. Built for aging, but who can wait? Best after 2002. 680 cases made. |

Vinous (93)The 2017 Haiku is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Succulent dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, new leather and licorice all flesh out in a racy, forward Tuscan red that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. Time in bottle should bring out more aromatic nuance and overall complexity. |

James Suckling (97)Intense and exotic on the nose with blackberry, blueberry, violet and walnut aromas that follow through to a full body with layers of ripe tannins and a beautiful finish of polished and well poised fruit. It goes on and on. I am impressed by the freshness here, as well as the intensity for the vintage. Drink in 2023 and onwards, but a joy to taste now. |
