Under the direction of it dynamic wine-maker Pedro Parra, Clos des Fous is part of a ‘new wave’ of Chilean wine-making. Founded in 2008, Parra and three friends decided to break the mould of industrial and boring Chilean wines by making wines from grapes grown in extreme terroirs, using minimal intervention. Clos des Fous is one of Chile’s most innovative, inspiring, and authentic wineries, now producing some of the most exciting wines in South America. This Clos des Fous project has caught the attention of international wine critics. Wine Advocate has dubbed Clos des Fous "one of the most exciting new projects in Chile". James Suckling has noticed that something important is stirring too. He has awarded some very impressive scores to these wines.
