Burghound (92)
A lightly spiced nose of red currant cassis and violet aromas is trimmed in soft wood notes that precede the supple and moderately well-concentrated yet relatively fine medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent depth and length in a well-balanced package. Like its 2010 counterpart it is only on the finish does the robustness of a classic Nuits arrive and overall, this is really fine juice with excellent cellaring potential.Inc. VAT£8,234.47 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from the four different parcels as usual. Matured in 25% new oak, it has a tightly wound bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit, touches of violet unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety texture, sensual and refined, extremely pure with not a hair out of place on the finish. Gorgeous.Inc. VAT£3,649.27 -
Wine Advocate (95)
The 2009 Echezeaux comes across as rich, powerful and totally seductive. It shows considerable richness and depth in a more immediate style than the 2010. The aromatics and nuance of the 2010 are missing, but in exchange readers will find a deep, fleshy wine that will deliver considerable pleasure with minimum cellaring. I especially like the intensity of the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2034.Inc. VAT£14,515.78
