Experience the exquisite Keller Dalsheimer Hubacker Riesling Auslese Nr23 2017, an elite offering from legendary producer, Klaus Peter Keller. Renowned for crafting commanding, balanced and complex Rieslings, Keller's Dalsheimer Hubacker vineyard, located in Germany's Rheinhessen region, has produced a 2017 Auslese of unparalleled quality. Hand-picked and meticulously sorted, this wine is the essence of precision winemaking. It boasts an intoxicating bouquet of ripe orchard fruits, honey and wet stone, paired with captivating notes of citrus and tropical fruits on the palate. Its brisk acidity and vibrant minerality culminate in a lingering, elegant finish. Keller Dalsheimer Hubacker Riesling Auslese Nr23 2017 is a testament to Keller's commitment to terroir expression, complexity, and sustainable viticulture. With tremendous ageing potential, this bottle merits a place in any discerning wine collector's cellar. Indulge in the mastery of Keller. |

Vinous (91)White peach, bright lime and tart crab apple make for cheek-tugging intensity of fruit acids and, when allied to alcoholic fullness, a firm feel and chalky underpinnings, result in a rather austere personality and a severe albeit impressively persistent finish. A welcome hint of salinity serves to activate the salivary glands, though not with such mouthwatering results as in the corresponding Brunnenhäuschen bottling. Rather than a sense of interaction between fruit and mineral elements, the overall impression here is of compact flavor layers. Wittmann has generously opened numerous older bottlings of Morstein for me, and formidable intensity, like stoniness, was common to all. But I can’t say that elegance or interplay of mineral with fruit and floral elements struck me as having been achieved through bottle age. |
