Jean-Claude Lapalu Cote de Brouilly 2014 (6x75cl)

Wine Advocate (92-94)

The 2014 Côte de Brouilly undergoes exactly the same vinification as the la Croix des Rameaux, but it comes from vines planted in limestone and clay soils. It has a very intense, very delineated bouquet with pure black cherries mixed with blueberry and cold stone scents. The palate is medium-bodied with great tension. The acidity is very well-judged as it dovetails into a precise, refined finish. If you seek a nervous Côte de Brouilly, nobody really does it better than this.

Lafarge Vial Cote Brouilly 2016 (6x75cl)

Wine Advocate (91+)

Offering up aromas of dark chocolate, roasting game bird and small wild berries, the 2016 Côte de Brouilly is medium to full-bodied, bright and fleshy, with a crunchy core of fruit, racy acids and a long, chalky finish. Like the Fleurie Clos Vernay, it will demand and reward time in the cellar.
