(6x75cl) 2014Vinous (92)
Very pale, bright yellow. Rather wild scents of lemon, lime, white flowers and crushed rock. Fat, savory and sweet, with captivating salty minerality enlivening the chewy flavors of white peach, citrus zest and smoky oak. Wonderfully tactile yet smooth wine with superb subtle length and salinity. Shows more dimension than the 2015 version. No shortage of sweetness here but has lovely supporting acidity.Inc. VAT£1,830.29 -
(1x75cl) 2015Wine Spectator (94)
Taut and nicely oaky, this delivers lemon cake, apple and baking spice flavors. Balanced on the lean side, gaining richness with air. The elements dovetail with a tactile feel on the long finish.Inc. VAT£337.32 -
(6x75cl) 2017Vinous (89-91)
(from 60- and 35-year-old vines): Bright yellow with a green tinge. Sexy sulfidey complexity to the stone fruit aromas. In a distinctly supple style and the most feminine of the '17s I tasted at Ramonet, conveying lovely sweetness and purity. Terrific fat fruit here, not to mention enticing early balance.Inc. (1x75cl) 2018Burghound (93)
(Outstanding) A slightly fresher nose also reflects elusive suggestions of the exotic on the aromas that also display hints of citrus confit, white flower and whiffs of dried herbs. There is better vibrancy and detail as well as more obvious minerality on the medium-bodied flavors that are better-balanced, more persistent and markedly more complex. This is lovely and a wine that should reward 8 to 10 years of cellaring yet one that should be approachable after only 4 to 5 years.Inc. VAT£491.87 -
Burghound (93)
(Outstanding) There is a vague whisper of the exotic on the petrol-suffused aromas of white peach, passion fruit, citrus confit and floral whiffs that are trimmed in subtle but perceptible wood. The refined, punchy and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while displaying excellent persistence on the balanced, youthfully austere, stony and tightly wound finale. This stylish effort has the stuffing to age effortlessly and, at present at least, is slightly more complex than the Clos du Caillerets.Inc. VAT£336.80 -

Vinous (92)
Pale, bright yellow. Musky stone fruits and iodiney minerality on the nose. A step up in concentration and mineral tension from the Caillerets, classically dry but still in a pliant style for the year, offering hints of soft citrus fruits, stone and clove. Finishes smooth, suave and long, with excellent breadth and ripeness.Inc. VAT£397.32 -
(12x75cl) 2014Wine Advocate (94+)
The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes is a real classic, opening in the glass with notes of mint, apple, pear and subtle noisette, deftly framed by a touch of reduction and new oak. On the palate, the wine approaches grand cru concentration and depth, with a velouté texture, lovely controlled amplitude and terrific definition and length. While this will only really begin to realize all its potential with 5 or 6 years in the cellar, I confess to having already enjoyed almost a case of this wine off wine lists in Burgundy; every bottle has been superb.Inc.
