The malolactic was just finishing so not yet sulphured. Perhaps the more reductive of the two whites. There is a fine mineral core which stretches fully across the palate. The bouquet is not yet particularly open but with a classic savoury nose, which I find typical of Gevrey. As with the Corton, there is a burst of energy which emerges on the palate. The red fruit on the nose seems to "hug" the olfactory senses, very pure and beautifully delineated, an underlying mineralité gaining momentum with aeration.
