Vinous - Antonio Galloni (90-92)The 2020 Pierre 1er is nicely done. In fact, this is one of the better recent vintages I can remember tasting. Inky and voluptuous, the 2020 offers quite a bit of richness, but with better balance than has been the case in the last few years. Gorgeous raspberries, blueberries, dried flowers, spicy wood, and orange blossom notes all emerge from this complex, elegant, medium to full-bodied effort, and it's balanced, has silky tannins, and a great finish. It's going to shine with just 2-3 years of bottle age, and I suspect have 15-20 years of overall longevity. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (91-93)The 2021 Dassault is very, very good. Dark and ample, the 2021 possesses terrific depth and fine balance at this stage. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, mint, spice, tobacco and mocha are nicely pushed forward. This succulent yet mid-weight Saint-Émilion has a ton to offer. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (95)The 2019 de Pressac is just as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. A complex, mesmerizing wine, Pressac offers up an exotic mélange of black cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and menthol. All the elements are so well balanced. Espresso,, lavender, dried rose petal and cedar linger on the complex, beautifully delineated finish. The 2019 is seriously impressive. It's as simple as that. |

Wine Enthusiast (93)Dominated by Merlot, this is a richly perfumed, ripe and spicy wine. Soft tannins are balanced by plenty of acidity and blackberry fruit. It's full in structure, but still allows plenty of room for the fruit. |

James Suckling (92-93)A little closed now, but shows very pretty fresh-fruit character of blackberries and black cherries that follow through to a medium to full body, polished and fine tannins and a bright finish. Purity of fruit. |
