The palate is very fresh on the entry with lime cordial, kiwi fruit and a touch of lemongrass, less shrill than it showed at primeur but with an engaging, lip-smacking salinité on the persistent finish. Excellent white Pessac-Léognan. |

The palate is very appley on the entry: Granny Smith apples and a touch of pear segue into a ginger-tinged second half that fans out nicely. Lacks a little sophistication but is well-crafted. Pretty spicy overall, full of tannic grip, dark and plush plum and greengage fruits, sage, cinnamon and crayon. Delicious, such a great value wine, one of the 'open now' wines of the tasting, exactly what you hope for when heading towards this price point of wine, and so rarely get. |
