The 2010 Le Pin is made from 100% Merlot. Deep garnet in color, it bursts from the glass with unbridled, hedonic notions of baked plums, Black Forest cake, Chinese five spice and blueberry pie plus wafts of smoked meats, candied violets, dark chocolate and cigar box. Medium-bodied, the palate exudes slow maturing black and blue berry layers, framed by firm, oh-so-plush tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing with incredible length and depth. Already drop dead gorgeous, this beautiful baby has a very long life ahead!Inc. VAT£26,689.92 -

Made from 100% Merlot cropped at minuscule yields of 20 hectoliters per hectare, the 2010 La Plus de La Fleur de Bouard was bottled unfined and unfiltered and came in at 14.5% natural alcohol. This wine ratchets up the level of extract, power, density and richness as well as tannin, so it needs 3-4 years of cellaring and can keep, I would assume, for up to two decades, given the performance of the 2000 in recent tastings I have done. This is a beauty, a full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal Lalande de Pomerol that is impossible to believe comes from a less heralded appellation.Inc. VAT£1,380.41 -

(83% merlot and 17% cabernet franc; 3.46 pH; 14.7 % alcohol) Medium dark ruby. Fruity, pure aromas of raspberry, graphite, white pepper and violet. At once rich and linear, offering a wonderfully vibrant expression of raspberry, red cherry and graphite. The long, sweet finish shows a steely, peppery quality. This wine comes from 80-year-old vines situated on very thin clay over hard limestone, which survived the frost of 1956. A gorgeous wine, the 2010 Château Monbousquet has a perfumed, complex bouquet of ripe black fruits, white truffle, leather, and savory floral nuances. Beautifully textured, full-bodied, ripe, and concentrated, yet with a light, velvety mouthfeel, it's drinking at point, with another decade of longevity. Drink 2025-2035.In Bond£1,432.00
