Vinous - Antonio Galloni (94)
The 2017 Quintus is super impressive today. Sweet floral and spice nuances give the 2017 its striking aromatic upper register. Rich and dense on the palate, Quintus is a bold, hedonistically opulent Saint-Émilion in 2017. Soaring Franc overtones play off the Merlot nicely, adding both aromatic presence and a real feeling of saline intensity that comes through, especially on the finish. Today, the 2017 is a touch exuberant - almost too much so. Another few years in bottle should help it settle down. The 2017 is not at all subtle, but it has a lot to offer. Here, too, élevage has done wonders for the wine.Inc. VAT£741.20 -

The 2020 Rahoul Blanc has an attractive nose of Golden Delicious, lime cordial and light nectarine scents. This has vigor and focus. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity. (1x75cl) 1961Experience the exceptional grandeur of the Rauzan-Gassies 1961, an extraordinary product of Second Growth (Deuxième Cru) in the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Born from the acclaimed Margaux appellation in the wine-producing region of Bordeaux, France, the Rauzan-Gassies estate has been crafting wines of unparalleled quality since the late 18th century. The 1961 vintage was a product of the artisan mastery behind Rauzan-Gassies' winemaking. Skilfully cultivated, handpicked Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes matured in oak casks, contributed to its robust structure, rich flavours, and long, expressive finish. The Rauzan-Gassies 1961 stands as a perfect embodiment of Bordeaux’s heritage – its garnet hue will enchant you, while notes of mature red fruits and hints of truffle and leather exhibit a testament of time. Truly, Rauzan-Gassies 1961 is more than just a wine; it's a grand lesson in history, a narrative bottled up for aficionados and collectors.
