Vinous - Neal Martin (86)The 2011 Ségla was tasted from two bottles, the first a little oxidized. The second has an open nose of kirsch and orange peel, hints of gravel and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with rather rough hewn tannins, a little dry with some attenuation towards the slightly oxidized finish. Drink soon. Tasted blind at the annual 10-Year-On tasting. |

James Suckling (92-93)A solid red with a dense palate of ripe fruit, chewy tannins and a savory finish. This shows structure and reserve. Excellent second wine from Rauzan. |

Wine Advocate (93)This is a major sleeper of the vintage and the finest Senejac I have tasted. The team from Pontet Canet, who have done such a phenomenal job at that estate, were in charge of making this Senejac, and the result, not surprisingly, is a sensational wine that consumers need to buy by the case. Dense purple, with notes of creme de cassis, incense, licorice and forest floor, this wine is delicious and full-bodied, with sweet tannins, low acidity, copious fruit and exceptional concentration. Everything is in balance, and the wine is capable of lasting 10 or more years. |

Wine Advocate (89)Another sleeper of the vintage, Senejac’s 2010 (a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc with a touch of Petit Verdot) exhibits wonderful intensity, an opaque purple color, and opulent blackberry and blueberry fruit along with hints of charcoal, white chocolate and graphite. This lush, heady, rich wine is a considerable over-achiever from this property in the northern Medoc that can be drunk over the next 6-8 years. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (89)The 2020 Sénéjac has held on to that seaweed tinged bouquet, with plenty of attractive blackberry and bilberry fruit, a strong estuarine influence at play here. The palate is medium-bodied, a little leaner than its peers, quite tensile though with a fresh, delineated finish. It has a spring in its step and it should drink well for 12-15 years. |
