Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (93-95)Mid lemon yellow. Plenty of weight on the nose, stones to follow perhaps? Yes indeed, on the palate. A huge wealth here, balanced between the more luscious fruit which stops just short of white peaches, and the mineral energy. Long finish of course. Drink from 2031-2040. Tasted Oct 2024. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-93)Pale in colour, the nose displaying a slight green hazelnut reduction which is not at all unpleasant. Indeed, it adds tension to the wine. There is impressive weight on the palate, some concentrated plum and greengage, good acidity. This still needs more elevage but shows promise. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted: October 2023. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90-92)The 2022 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos de la Croix de Pierre has more detail and terroir expression than the Combottes: well-defined with crushed stone and dried yellow flowers complementing the citrus fruit. The palate is well-balanced with a waxy texture. A dash of white pepper enlivens this Pernand, which fans out nicely on the finish. One of my picks from Jadot's whites this year. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-96)5 Star Wine. There will be no En la Richarde Folatières from Héritiers Louis Jadot this year, but this bottling is superb. A little more toastiness on the nose. This builds beautifully to the back of the palate, showing an excellent backbone with just the right elegance of minerality. Really good. Bravo Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: October 2022 |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-96)(5 Star Wine) Mid lemon yellow, with a concentrated bouquet that has less immediate charm than the Clos de la Garenne. However, there is significant weight on the palate, some yellow plums, while the acidity has an attractive mineral touch. My conclusion is that this Folatières is just very backward. Everything is there to make a great wine, and In the end the more exciting wine of two excellent Pulignys. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: October 2023. |

James Suckling (96)The aromas of hot stones in the vineyard really highlight the dried apples and citrus with flint and straw, following to a full body with a tight palate and reserved finish. It needs time to open and show it’s greatness. Give it three to four years to open. |

Decanter (94)Louis Latour dominate the appellation of Corton-Charlemagne, with 10ha under vine and lots of different aspects and altitudes to choose from in Aloxe-Corton. This has lovely floral scents that lead you into a palate that's rich, leesy and magisterial with notes of citrus, pear and banana bread, well-integrated new wood and a hint of stony reduction. Consistently the négociant's best white. |

Wine Advocate (91-93+)The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is also quite promising, exhibiting aromas of pear, buttered citrus fruit, honeycomb, toasted almonds and white flowers. Full-bodied, satiny and rich, with a fleshy core of fruit and good underlying freshness, I hope it can repeat this fine performance from bottle. |

James Suckling (97)A very cool and tight Corton Charlemagne with the intense spice, bold structure and steeliness that we expect from this appellation. Staggering concentration, which at this early stage makes the wine slightly austere, but all this gives it great aging potential. Fantastic integration of oak, fruit and mineral acidity at the amazing finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. |
