Vinous (92)The 2019 Meursault Meix Chavaux has a very crisp, almost Puligny-like bouquet, mineral-driven, a little austere compared to the Les Vireuils. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and touches of yellow plum, lightly spiced with a satisfying edginess towards the persistent finish. Long and lasting on the aftertaste with a precision that for me, puts it on a level above the Les Vireuils. Excellent. |

There is more weight of fruit here, more of a golden glow through the middle, with a citrus streak to finish. Graceful as much as generous. Pleasing finish on sweet lemon fruit. |

Creamy and beautifully layered, the Luchets is redolent of pear, apricot, dried flowers, chamomile and mint that envelop the palate effortlessly. The Luchets is so inviting, even in the very early going. A burst of mineral and stony notes lend freshness on the close. The 2020 is impressive and so promising. (Tasted by Antonio Galloni) |
