As good as this is though it's not clear at this very early juncture whether it will ultimately surpass the Bressandes. This offers more clarity and delineation than the Les Vergelesses, with vivid red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, quite saline and a little spicier than the Vergelesses, with a longer tail on the finish. This is superb. What you might call proper red Burgundy! |
