Vinous - Neal Martin (92)The 2021 Saint-Aubin Oratorium Sancti Albini 1er Cru, which one assumes is not an homage to the late music producer, has a pretty nose with lilting scents of orange blossom, pear and lemon meringue, all very well defined. The oak is deftly used here. The palate is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity. Impressive energy and tension combined with satisfying weight and a sense of drive. This is a very capable Saint-Aubin that should age well in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. |
