Full-bodied, ample and concentrated, it delivers an enveloping core of fruit supported by bright acidity and a finely textured phenolic mid-palate. The finish is long, fruity and seemingly endless. Pale golden yellow. Unctuous bouquet of apple blossom, candied lemon, lanolin and clover. Creamy yet refined, with the apricot pit flavor retaining a juicy, mouthwatering freshness. Finishes strong and succulent, with tropical fruits and toasted almond. In this warm vintage, most of the beautiful concentration in this superb late-harvest chenin blanc was a result of desiccation of the grapes rather than botrytis.

It might be delicate but the 2020 Le Haut-Lieu Moelleux is also rather succulent, coating the mouth with its sweet embrace. A combination of white flowers and nectarine creates an appealing perfume. There's a sense of energy that runs through the wine, providing a sense of direction and purpose. The core of sweetness (50–60g/L) doesn't tip over into lushness but is held together by its acidity and structure.

The 2018 Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Moelleux Première Trie is deep and intense yet pure and chalky on the distinctive, slightly flinty and yeasty nougat-scented nose. Vital, vibrantly fresh and tight yet fine and pure on the playful palate, this is an intense, sweet and impressively rich Chenin with tension, salt and finesse as well as fine but grippy tannins. This is an exciting Haut-Lieu that is already dangerously ready to drink but will become even more complex and dimensioned with bottle age. Definitely the Haut-Lieu of the vintage! The 2020 Le Haut Lieu Moelleux Première Trie is pretty gorgeous with its sweet embrace (71g/L residual sugar) caressing the palate like a silky-smooth velouté. It sits calmly in the mouth, showing the typical fruit-forward character of the site, all oranges, chamomile and violets. The deeply satisfying finish provides the merest of grips, and fresh acid makes your mouth water. Already delicious in its youth, this wine has the concentration, acidity and sweetness to age gracefully, as Huet fans will know well.

Medium- to full-bodied, it is concentrated and structured yet retains a sense of poise and lift. A delicately fleshy core of fruit is framed by bright acidity, leading to a long, ethereal finish.
