The palate is medium-bodied with light, grainy tannin. It is nicely balanced, not a deep Pomerol or complex, although the finish slips down the throat easily. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a velvety entry and a ripe, slightly confit, spicy finish. It’s possibly the finest Cahors I’ve ever tasted and would pass undetected in a blind lineup of top Napa Cabernets.
