Until the 2015 vintage Les Hauts de Husseau was called Rémus Plus. This is a blend of five single vineyards in the northern part of the Montlouis appellation where the majority of the vines are between 70 and 90 years old, planted on thin flinty soil over limestone. The oldest vines, however, date from 1912. These three 2019s perfectly illustrate the importance, especially in a hot year, of picking at the optimum moment and having a very large team of pickers to harvest as quickly as possible. The 2019 has a fine balance of vibrant fruit and racy acidity with an attractive texture. Currently less expressive than the Clos Mosny it has a delicate tension and a long finish. Very good potential to develop and to age for at least two decades.Inc. VAT£201.49 -
