Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)The 2019 Roc de Cambes has come together beautifully since I tasted it en primeur. The balance of dark red cherry/plum fruit and blood orange is so intriguing. The 2019 bristles with energy, much of it surely attributable to the 20% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92-94)The 2020 Roc de Cambes opens with a huge bouquet of scorched earth, tar, licorice, gravel and incense. A rich, explosive wine, this is going to need at least a few years to come together, but it is impressive even in the early going. Jeb Dunnuck (94)The 2022 Roc De Cambes is brilliant and just another richly textured, concentrated, impressive wine from the team at Tertre Roteboeuf. Darker currants, chocolaty oak, cigar tobacco, and graphite are just some of its nuances, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and a great finish. It promises 15+ years of prime drinking. |

Jancis Robinson (17)Quite pale. Very rich and well contained. He is so lucky to get this much grand cru fruit! The merest hint of cocoa powder but basically this is a very attractive, if fairly lightweight, Chambertin. I suspect it is not good value. It’s not that long. |
