Medicinal raspberry, red cherry, flowers, crushed stone and a minty nuance on the nose; quite ethereal and perfumed, with little sign of the gamey, earthy side of this great grand cru. At once velvety and sharply etched, combining penetrating sweetness with terrific grip. Finishes with outstanding palate-staining perfume, a suggestion of menthol and noble tannins.
