Bowmore

About Bowmore
There aren't many whiskies that come close to the heritage and pedigree of Bowmore. Situated on the shores of Loch Indaal since 1779, it is the oldest distillery on Islay and the second oldest in Scotland.
The source of some of the most sought after Islay Single Malts on the market, their reputation has soared among collectors with a rating of 98/100 on Rare Whisky 101's Collectors' power rankings - trailing hot on the heels of Ardbeg and Macallan.

Bowmore Islay Single Malt Vintage Edition 1988 Bottled 2017 (1x70cl) An extremely rare vintage release from the iconic Bowmore distillery, this vintage Islay is remarkable in its rarity, its exclusivity and its quality. This discontinued beauty is a unique expression of Bowmore's house style. Known for a more moderate peat profile, especially when compared to the likes of Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig, often tempered by a fair amount of sherry influence, however this Bowmore is matured solely in Bourbon barrels allowing its peat character to come through with a more classical Islay smokiness, alongside some surprising floral notes of rosewater, orange blossom and a satisfying maritime profile. Global Traveller Exclusive, bottled at 47.8%
