Coates & Seely

Coates & Seely is a collaboration between two lifelong friends on either side of the channel. Christian Seely, the managing Director of Axa Millésimes - owners of Château Pichon-Baron - and Nicholas Coates, who retired from the City to live the winemaking dream in the picturesque South Downs. Using classic Champagne methods and benefitting from the Champagne-like chalk soil of the South Downs there is in fact little to separate the two. In fact blind tastings with the industry's best palates has shown us as much.
