Desmirail
From the prestigious appellation of Margaux, Desmirail is expertly managed by Denis Lurton. This Chateau was once part of the vast Rauzan estate and didn’t appear as an independent wine label until 1982. However it has since been making its own history with its wine growing in quality and reputation.

Jeb Dunnuck (90-93)Château Desmirail looks to have turned out a sensational wine in the vintage, and their 2017 offers a forward, already irresistible style as well as loads of spicy red and black fruits, incense and spice aromas, and flavors. I love its purity of fruit, it has medium-bodied richness, and ripe tannin. Drink it on release and over the following 10-15 years. |

Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux (92)Ruby plum in colour, this is vibrant but not too intense, clear coffee notes, ripe plum and raspberry puree fruits. Plenty of tannins, and fresh acidities, an enjoyable Desmirail, bitter on the finish as is often the case in 2022. |
