Robert Denogent
Denogent's Pouilly-Fuisse is more similar is style and class to the more northerly prestigious Cote d’Or. The domaines small parcels enjoy a small microclimate, which drinkers of the fantastic Pouilly-Fuisses can be grateful for: these are complex wines and great value when compared to their counterparts in quality.

Wine Advocate (89-91)
The 2012 Saint Veran Les Pommards Vieilles Vignes comes from their 0.52-hectare parcel of 50+-year-old vines. It has a refined, almost languid bouquet that is well-defined and just gently unfurls from the glass. The palate is also very well-balanced, so much so that you can barely notice the 30% new oak. This is a very classy Saint Veran.Inc. VAT£388.80 -
Wine Advocate (92-94)
The 2012 Pouilly Fuissé la Croix Vieilles Vignes comes from schist soils and even in nascent form it boasts a vibrant, energetic stony nose that shimmers in the glass. The palate is extremely well-balanced and complex: citrus peel and orange rind at first and then subtle mandarin and spice notes flowing through later. This is quite a mercurial Pouilly-Fuissé, coquettishly showing a different side of its face each time you come back. Superb.Inc. VAT£349.61 -
(12x75cl) 2020Vinous (92-94)
The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé La Croix Vieilles Vignes undergoes a three-year élevage. These vines on deep blue schist soils create a warm microclimate so that the potential alcohol levels can be two or three degrees higher than elsewhere. It has a linear and focused bouquet that disguises the warmth of the terroir with style. The palate is vibrant on the entry, a superb line of acidity, quite saline yet there is real substance towards the finish. There is a sense of completeness to this Pouilly-Fuissé with just a touch of spiciness lingering on the aftertaste. Strongly recommended.Inc. VAT£563.21
