Crafted with excellence, La Fleur de Bouard 2001 unfolds a rich tapestry of flavours on the palate. Produced in the esteemed vineyards of Hubert de Bouard, this distinguished Bordeaux blend is a reflection of the exceptional terroir of Lalande de Pomerol. High-density planting techniques are implemented and low yields are maintained to ensure optimum fruit quality for premium winemaking. La Fleur de Bouard 2001 is meticulously crafted through an innovative vinification process that includes pre-fermentation cold maceration and maturation in 100% new oak barrels. This fine wine perfectly articulates its unique provenance through its expressions of intense black cherries, cassis and spicy oak. Brought to fruition by the time-honoured passion and expertise of the de Bouard family, La Fleur de Bouard 2001 is truly a harmonious symphony of vintage Bordeaux sophistication. An exceptional gem for the discerning palettes of true connoisseurs, La Fleur de Bouard 2001 is a compelling testament to age-worthy finesse. |

Wine Advocate (91)At present, this estate is the reference point for high quality wines from Lalande de Pomerol. The basic cuvee from proprietor Hubert de Bouard and his wife Corinne, the 2006 La Fleur de Bouard is composed of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sensationally rich, with abundant quantities of blue and black fruits, spring flowers, graphite, licorice, and hints of espresso roast as well as toasty oak, it is supple enough to be drunk now, or cellared for a decade. |

Vinous - Ian D'Agata (88-90)(85% merlot, 12% cabernet franc and 3% cabernet sauvignon): Inky purple. Deep aromas of cassis, cocoa, violet and vanilla. Smooth, rich and dense; with lovely precision to the floral and cocoa flavors. Finishes smooth, with a persistent blackberry note and captivating juiciness. Finishes with copious, mounting tannins but remains smooth and balanced on the long, creamy finish. Excellent. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)The 2016 La Fleur de Boüard is gorgeous. Sweet, floral notes lift the red berry fruit in this gracious, mid-weight wine. Raspberry, wild flowers, mocha, spice and mint all run through this lithe, silky wine. The 2016 possesses notable silkiness, nuance and finesse. This is a terrific showing. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (93)The 2018 La Fleur de Boüard is very well defined on the nose, gorgeous scents of blackberry, blueberry, violet and potpourri bursting from the glass but retaining fine delineation and focus. The palate is crisp on the entry, with graphite-tinged black fruit framed by fine tannins and a structured, tensile finish. This is one of the best La Fleur de Boüard vintages that I have encountered. Excellent. |

Creamy and open-knit, with lovely perfume and fine balance, the 2019 Le Plus is impressive, not to mention a real charmer. In a second tasting it was even more exotic and sexy. |

Wine Advocate (96)Take that quality and add additional layers of concentration, power, extract and wood, and you have the 2009 La Plus de La Fleur de Bouard. Only about 500 cases of this 100% Merlot are made. With notes of blueberry and blackberry liqueur intermixed with graphite and spring flowers, this wine is absolutely massive and not for everybody, but it is an example of what a conscientious and driven producer pushing the envelope can do in a satellite appellation such as Lalande de Pomerol. Moreover, I suspect it will last for at least two decades. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (90-93)The 2016 Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard is every bit as promising as it has always been. Still in barrel, La Fleur possesses tremendous richness and pure power. Dark red cherry, plum, chocolate, torrefaction, spice and menthol all develop in the glass. I am not sure about the extended barrel aging for Le Plus, but time will ultimately be the judge of that. |
