    2001

    Gracia 2001 (12x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (91)

Aromatically, this 2001 merits a score in the mid-nineties, but the flavors do not quite match the spectacular olfactory fireworks. The perfectionist architect turned winemaker, Michel Gracia, does everything right at his tiny (less than five acres) vineyard. Yields were 19 hectoliters per hectare for this blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This brilliant effort boasts a dark ruby/purple color in addition to an explosive bouquet of raspberry liqueur, crushed stones, white flowers, and other heavenly delights. The wine hits the palate with plenty of fruit, body, and richness. Pure, dense, medium-bodied, with moderate tannin in the finish, if it continues to fill out and live up to its astonishing aromatics, this will be a blockbuster. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2014.

    Gracia 2008 (6x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (95)

One of the most remarkable St.-Emilions of the vintage, the 2008 Gracia (13.5% alcohol) is a candidate for “wine of the year.” Yields were 18 hectoliters per hectare and despite its aging in 100% new oak, the wine shows no evidence of new wood. The final blend was 80% Merlot and the rest mostly Cabernet Franc and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. The full-bodied 2008 boasts an inky/purple color along with an Ausone-like nose of licorice, truffles, camphor, crushed rocks and blue as well as black fruits. More supple and opulent than the 2010, the 2008 is already beginning to round into shape and should be at its finest in 4-5 years and keep for two decades. Only, 4,700 bottles were produced.

    2013

    Gracia 2013 (6x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (92-94)

The wine is opaque purple, shows notes of blueberries, incense, camphor and black berry fruit, with licorice and charcoal notes. Complex aromatics are followed by a medium to full-bodied surprisingly concentrated and opulent wine with loads of fruit and stunning purity and length. This is a remarkable achievement in 2013. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

    2015

    Gracia 2015 (12x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (95)

Blended of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 15 to 20 months, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Gracia rocks up with an audacious nose of crème de cassis, chocolate box, blueberry compote and plum preserves with touches of charcuterie, scorched earth and yeast extract. Full-bodied, rich and firm in the mouth, its power wears a compellingly plush frame with a lively backbone and an epically long, savory and spice-laced finish.

    Gracia 2021 (6x75cl)

    Vinous - Neal Martin (90-92)

The 2021 Gracia was cropped at 9hL/ha. It has an open-knit bouquet of dark cherries, boysenberry and light undergrowth scents, though it needs a little more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a little sharpness and a pointed finish. It is fresh but just needs a little more length.

Les Angelots de Gracia 2021 (6x75cl)

    Vinous - Neal Martin (88-90)

The 2021 Les Angelots de Gracia has an attractive nose of dark plum and black currant scents, quite pure and understated compared to recent vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins, plush, spherical, even, though it needs a bit more grip on the finish.
