Vinous (92-94)The 2018 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru is an ample, creamy and super-expressive wine. Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and minty notes all flesh out in a Chablis endowed with striking depth and resonance - all qualities that build into the long, beautifully persistent finish. This is one of the bigger premiers crus in the range, but it also retains terrific freshness and vibrancy. |

Vinous (92)The 2019 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru is quite expressive on the nose of red and green apples; touches of orange blossom develop with air. The lightly spiced palate is concentrated, a richer style for the vintage, and then turns quite nutty thanks to deeper, more clay-rich soils that lend toastiness on the finish. Very fine. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-93)Pale lemon yellow. This is crisp and classy. Vibrant fruit and plenty of it, then a stonier back half to this wine, faintly lemon scented, while that citrus element is ripe. Enjoy the long finish. Drink from 2025-2030. Tasted: June 2022 |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-94)Clean classic white fruit with concentration and some elegance. Steely and with backbone, then a beautiful finish with complexity, still based around the white fruit. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: June 2022 |

Vinous (91-94)Somewhat musky aromas of smoke, lime skin and fresh herbs call to mind Chassagne-Montrachet. Rich, fat and layered; round and satisfying, though still quite young. Subtle notes of lime blossom, spices and pepper. Densely packed Chablis, finishing with slow-mountingflavors of pepper, minerals and dusty stone. Wonderfully rich for the vintage. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-94)Fullish pale yellow. Powerful but discreet, not too sunny. There is a touch of coconut from the wood, definitely some yellow fruit, with a slightly smoky finish, very typical and quite lovely. Drink from 2025-2031. Tasted: June 2022 |

Burghound (87-89)Here too the nose is presently dominated by reduction and wood toast. More interesting are the sleek, intense and ultra-fresh middleweight plus flavors that possess excellent size, richness and power where the latter suffuses the sappy, muscular and saliva-inducing, moderately dry and compact finale. This very promising effort is going to need at least a decade to realize its full potential. Impressive. (92-95)/2031+ |

Vinous (87)The 2020 Chablis Village has quite a striking, fennel-tinged nose, vibrant and perfumed and full of personality. The taut, fresh palate delivers a fine bead of acidity, although I suspect that the 2019 might possess a little more harmony on the finish. |

Burghound (88-91)This is aromatically similar to the Petit Chablis though with more citrus elements in evidence. There is again good richness to the succulent and rounded medium-weight flavors that also exude a refreshing salinity on the clean, moderately dry and sneaky long finish that is slightly firmer.
