Mirafiore is a historic Serralunga d'Alba estate centred on Fontanafredda . Amazingly, Mirafiore once belonged to the King of Italy, King Vittorio Emanuel II of Savoy, and in the c19th it was named after his son who was The Count of Mirafiore! The Count, called Emanuele di Mirafiore, distributed his Barolos across the courts of Europe, thus putting these famous names firmly on the fine wine heritage name. Today, the two single vineyard Barolos from the Paiagallo and Lazzarito vineyards are the pinnacle of the estate.
