Wine Spectator (93)Juicy and vivid, with lots of raspberry, cassis and blackberry fruit woven with a perfumy black tea note. There's plenty of grip on the back end, but this is lush and has melded nicely already. Score range: 90-93 |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (91)The 2014 Moulin Riche is a very pretty wine from the sister estate of the Cuvelier family, who also own Leoville-Poyferre. Medium in body, with good underlying structure, the 2014 offers notable complexity and nuance. Smoke, tobacco, licorice and a host of dark-fleshed fruit notes confer a measure of gravitas. The blend is 53 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 27 % Merlot and 20 % Petit Verdot. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2015 Moulin-Riche has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, briary and light mineral aromas, becoming quite floral with time. The palate is medium-bodied with pencil shavings and tobacco on the entry, well-knitted tannin, moderate depth with quite a persistent finish. Nice salinity too. Didier Cuvelier made a very fine Moulin-Riche this year. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92+)In 2016 Moulin Riche is absolutely gorgeous. Fresh, vibrant and full of energy, the 2016 is impressive today. The wine appears to have shed some baby fat and gained in aromatic complexity over the last two years. Sweet red-toned fruit, rose petal, mint and chalk lend understatement to the classy, mid-weight Saint-Julien. The 2016 was bottled at the end of May (earlier than many other Left Bank wines) and might be entering a period of closure. Still, I find a lot to admire. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)The 2018 Moulin Riche is a dark, sensual beauty. Blackberry, chocolate, spice, new leather and menthol all meld together effortlessly. Time in the glass brings out pretty floral overtones along with redder tonalities of fruit. This is an especially unctuous, racy style. There is no arguing with the wine's balance or sheer appeal. The 2018 can be enjoyed now and for another 15 years or so, maybe more. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)The 2019 Moulin Riche is a powerful, bold wine. Black cherry, gravel, smoke, licorice, tar and incense confer gravitas and weight. Potent tannins are well matched and very much confirm that impression. This is an especially somber, muscular Saint-Julien with a ton of character. Drink it over the next decade or so. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2020 Moulin Riche is quite backward on the nose, dark berry fruit, black tea and brown spices gradually unfurling with aeration. The palate is rounded on the entry, lightly spiced with white pepper and touches of fennel. This gains depth in the glass as it responds to aeration with just a little chewiness towards the finish that should soften with bottle age. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (91-93)The 2021 Moulin Riche is a dark, racy Saint-Julien. Black cherry, plum, spice, new leather, tobacco, menthol and licorice are all dialed up in a generous, inviting 2021 that has much to offer. There's lovely upfront intensity here. I would prefer to drink this succulent, yet mid-weight Saint-Julien over the next decade or so. |
