Powell & Son
About Powell & Son
Powell & Son is a relatively young estate, founded by a man with an incomparable reputation - Dave Powell. Having worked for some of the biggest names in Australia like Peter Lehmann, Yalumba and Wolf Blass, Dave Powell founded Torbreck in 1994, only to be ousted in 2013 from the winery he founded due to differences with the management. Powell never returned to Torbreck, and instead founded his own label of Powell & Son with his son, Callum, to continue doing what he does best.
Now partnered with his son Callum, they craft exceptional wines from the Barossa and Eden Valley that speak of the place in which they are grown. Their inspiration for winemaking sees the roots from Frances Rhône Valley.
