Rippon
About Rippon
Rippon is one of “New Zealand's most celebrated wineries” – Christina Pickard (Wine Enthusiast), and among “the most feted producers in Central Otago” – Neal Martin (when writing for Wine Advocate). The estate is run by second-generation Nick Mills, who learnt his skills at none other than Burgundy legend Domaine de la Romanee-Conti (DRC).
The Mills family have been farming on the beautiful shores of Lake Wanaka in New Zealand’s Central Otago region since 1912. Their small 15-hecatre vineyard was first planted in 1981 and is run biodynamically, allowing their wines to exhibit a true expression of their unique, heavenly terroir. Coaxing excellent quality fruit from their vineyards, Rippon makes among New Zealand’s most ageworthy, complex and seductive Pinot Noir.
