Rossignol-Trapet
Created through the marriage of Jacques Rossignol and Mado Trapet, since 1990 the estate has been managed by sons Nicolas and David who quickly moved it to biodynamic farming. Their technique of only racking when necessary produces wines that clearly express their excellent Gevrey-Chambertin vineyards.

Burghound (92-95)
(from vines planted in 1955). A strikingly elegant if restrained nose is comprised by notes of red and dark currant, forest floor, exotic tea and an abundance of floral hints. There is both fine intensity and an almost aggressive minerality to the chiseled medium-bodied flavors that possess an appealing texture before concluding in a moderately austere and refreshing finish that also displays just a touch of warmth. This is a very classy wine that should also amply repay mid to longer-term keeping.Inc. VAT£284.93
