That may be true of international attention for fine German Pinot (or Spätburgunder as it is called here) may be relatively new, but red wine specialist Weingut Rudolf Fürst traces its origins in the Franconia region back to 1638, making it older than Donnhoff by over 100 years! Each of their wines represents exceptional value and quality. We have come to expect nothing less from great quality German Riesling. Silky, round and juicy on the palate, this is a full-bodied, very intense and concentrated yet lush and elegant Pinot with firm tannins and a tight, sustainably intense and salty finish with good mineral freshness. This is a highly promising Centgrafenberg that no Pinot lover should miss buying. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2021. |
