Vinous (94+)The 2019 Terlaner Riserva Nova Domus opens slowly in the glass, but is worth the wait, as a delicate mix of pretty spring flowers, wet slate, crushed pear and hints of lime zests waft up from the glass. It’s silky and round in feel. Lifting acidity and minerals energize the expression as savory spices and rich orchard fruits flesh out across the palate. There’s amazing dimension and youthful density here, all in a harmonious state, as the 2019 tapers off lightly structured and with a penetrating citrus intensity that lingers. There’s much more beneath the surface here, which only cellaring with unlock. A stunning Nova Domus. This is a blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon. |

Vinous (93)The 2021 Terlaner Riserva Cuvée Nova Domus lifts up with an airy bouquet that blends ground ginger with dusty dried flowers, crushed green apples and spice aromas. This washes across the palate with silky textures and ripe orchard fruits. Sour citrus notes add contrast, guided by brisk acidity. The 2021 finishes full of youthful tension and lightly tannic, leaving a spicy sensation and a bitter lemon rind tinge that class the taster back to the glass. |

Wine Advocate (95)The Cantina Terlano 2018 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Monticol is fresh and even wild with forest bramble, tart cassis or cranberry. The winemaking style hones in on freshness and brightness, all this thanks to high-altitude mountain winemaking, with plenty of floral detailing focused on violet and Alpine wild flower. These results are fine and silky, and take note of that pretty freshness that gives lots of life and energy to the finish. Some 45,000 bottles were released. This is a Pinot Noir to serve with an Asiago cheese made in the Alps. |

James Suckling (94)What a beautiful fragrance this very elegant Alpine pinot noir has! Fine red-berry and dried orange-peel aromas with delicate spice from oak. Wonderful integration of generous body and fine tannins, building gently at the long, structured finish. From vineyards between 500 and 600 meters above sea level. Drink or hold. |

Vinous (93)The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Quarz is youthfully coy, opening with an airy bouquet that mixes crushed rocks with dried flowers, hints of petrol and nectarines. This is pure pleasure on the palate, soft and round, with juicy acidity and ripe citrus-tinged orchard fruits that swirl as salty mineral tones penetrate deeply. The 2022 finishes with outstanding length and tension, leaving hints of sour melon and a tart lemon rind tinge. The 2022 is intense and built for the cellar. |

Vinous (90)A bouquet of smoky crushed stone, exotic florals, honeydew and hints of sweet smoke make the 2021 Terlaner Cuvée impossible to ignore. It’s silky and pliant, with zesty acidity motivating its tart orchard fruits, as savory spices penetrate deeply. This leaves the palate saturated in primary concentration, adding a youthful tension; however, the mouth is left watering for another sip. The perfumed finale seals the deal on this high-energy Terlaner Cuvée. This is a blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. |

Vinous (94)Anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the white wines of Cantina Terlano is in for a revelation. These rank among the finest white wines in the world. While the Terlaner Grande Cuvée Primo often steals the spotlight, the Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg offers remarkable complexity and quality at a much more accessible price. This is the bottle I reach for to fill my own cellar. Place it alongside a Premier Cru white Burgundy for a thrilling comparison. |
