Xanadu
About Xanadu
Established in 1977 as one of the first wineries in Margaret River, Xanadu Wines has a long history of producing excellent wines in Australia's premier cool-climate wine region.
Purchased by the Rathbone family in 2005, owners of the popular Yering Station and Mount Langi Ghiran wineries, they retained winemaker Glen Goodall who had been at the estate in 1999 and this combination of new investment combined with a knowhow of the local terroir has taken this estate from strength to strength. It culminated in their 2016 Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon winning one of the most coveted awards in Australian wine, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy.

Vinous (93)Opaque, bright-rimmed magenta. A highly perfumed, spice-accented bouquet displays kirsch, black currant, vanilla and pipe tobacco qualities and a smoky mineral topnote. Youthfully chewy and energetic on the palate, offering sharply focused dark berry, bitter cherry, floral pastille and spicecake flavors that deepen slowly and become sweeter with aeration.
