Jancis Robinson (18)Tasted blind. Rich and rather opulent nose. Simple and easy with good refreshing raciness. Could be Rauzan-Ségla? Good and complete. Really zesty. Likely to be VGV. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)The 2019 Ségla is absolutely gorgeous. Bright and effusive in the glass, with gorgeous aromatic presence, the 2019 impresses with its freshness, vivacity and energy. Crushed red berry fruit and sweet floral accents lend finesse throughout. The 2019 is lithe, elegant and classy from start to finish. |

Wine Advocate (93)This is a major sleeper of the vintage and the finest Senejac I have tasted. The team from Pontet Canet, who have done such a phenomenal job at that estate, were in charge of making this Senejac, and the result, not surprisingly, is a sensational wine that consumers need to buy by the case. Dense purple, with notes of creme de cassis, incense, licorice and forest floor, this wine is delicious and full-bodied, with sweet tannins, low acidity, copious fruit and exceptional concentration. Everything is in balance, and the wine is capable of lasting 10 or more years. |

Wine Advocate (89)Another sleeper of the vintage, Senejac’s 2010 (a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc with a touch of Petit Verdot) exhibits wonderful intensity, an opaque purple color, and opulent blackberry and blueberry fruit along with hints of charcoal, white chocolate and graphite. This lush, heady, rich wine is a considerable over-achiever from this property in the northern Medoc that can be drunk over the next 6-8 years. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (89)The 2020 Sénéjac has held on to that seaweed tinged bouquet, with plenty of attractive blackberry and bilberry fruit, a strong estuarine influence at play here. The palate is medium-bodied, a little leaner than its peers, quite tensile though with a fresh, delineated finish. It has a spring in its step and it should drink well for 12-15 years. |
